Meet Elizabeth and Matt, a dynamic duo with a shared love for the culinary arts. With Elizabeth’s background as a talented pastry chef and Matt’s expertise as a seasoned chef, they embarked on a journey that led them to discover their passion for making bean-to-bar chocolate. Following their extensive experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry, they began building their own brand, Harvest Chocolate.
Elizabeth and Matt built their business to include online, wholesale and retail sales. This required them to obtain more detailed licensing and a commercial kitchen space. It was during this time that they discovered Launch Lenawee, a resource that would prove to be instrumental in their growth. They found not only the necessary kitchen facilities but also the collaborative business class and networking that provided them with invaluable insights and strategies.
As graduates of the 4th class, Elizabeth and Matt applied their newfound knowledge and expanded their business in remarkable ways. Their online and wholesale sales soared, prompting them to embark on a new venture—partnering with The Vault in downtown Tecumseh for two years until expanding into their own full retail space exclusively as Harvest Chocolate in 2024. They aim to open its doors to the public by early summer 2024, offering a delightful chocolatey space in the heart of Downtown Tecumseh.
