The Armory Events Center is dedicated to the growth and development of Lenawee County. The Armory connects us, strengthens our community, and promotes collaboration; creating a more vibrant Lenawee County.
We provide educational programs, small business development services, located in a historic National Guard Armory that we have renovated into a state of the art business, events, and community center.
The Armory Project is a community development project dedicated to improving the social and economic climate in the Lenawee Community. This not-for-profit 501c3 organization offers:
- Incubator space for a small business development center and shared co-work space for new and growing small businesses in our community.
- Meeting space for community gatherings, meetings, educational and entertainment events.
- Office space for non-profit organizations focused on community growth and development.
- Display space for veterans to connect to the historic Armory building and to tell the story of the military in relationship to the community.
The Adrian Armory History
Our Redevelopment Stages
As the vision for the Adrian Armory Events Center took place, we researched other models that were successful. Please visit our links below to learn more about their projects, and our progress through the local news.
The Marshall Street Armory in Lansing was a redevelopment project formerly occupied by the Army National Guard as an assembly hall for “drill training” for the 1st Battalion 119th Field Artillery. The Armory was historically preserved and retrofitted to serve as a collaborative headquarters for several local nonprofit organizations.
The Armory in downtown Owosso is listed on the National Register of Historic Places along with many other places in Shiawassee County. It is being redeveloped into collaborative office and community space that will promote entrepreneurship and bring together organizations and small businesses.
