Starting Launch Lenawee # 6
We’re getting ready to start the sixth session of Launch Lenawee on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 5 pm. An orientation meeting with Q & A time is planned for Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 5 pm at the Adrian Armory. Know someone who could benefit from business-building guidance? We’d like to introduce Kelley Maynard, our new kitchen manager, and Launch Lenawee team leader! Kelley has a background in food service and kitchen management, and is also operating her own start-up business, A Bake Above.
Match on Main $25,000 Grant
The Adrian Armory Community Center will use this new grant through the MEDC to expand the incubator kitchen used by the Launch Lenawee program. We plan to increase the cold storage and kitchen areas, providing a larger baking and catering operation.
This gives our makers an opportunity to sell products to storefronts in our downtown area, as well as catering larger events in the community.
Armory Family Memorial
The Armory has two existing areas memorializing service members at the monument sign and around the flagpole. The Adrian Family Memorial is the third portion of the memorial, which recognizes additional service members and immediate family members. These families support their service members and our community during some tough times. They deserve to be recognized as a link in the chain of military service.
Interested in honoring someone like this? Sponsor and pay for the engraving of a brick to be used in the new memorial, which will feature new installations yearly on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Contact the Adrian Armory for details and sponsorship.
